Celebrating young artists with our 2025 Youth Art Show - June 6th, 7th & 8th!
Deadline Extended: Drop off your art at Holt Park between Tuesday May 27th and Wednesday June 4th!
Creativity comes naturally to kids. Part of our mission is to help connect young people to their instinctive love of art in all its forms, as we believe nurturing young talent is the best way to ensure the growth of a vibrant community.
The 2025 Youth Art Show takes place at Holt Park & Center for the Arts at 34 Elmont Avenue on June 6th, 7th and 8th. The Youth Art Show offers a professional art show experience to Baltimore area kids & teens between 6 and 17 years old. Educators, art teachers and schools are encouraged to connect with us to help their students participate.
The Youth Art Show is produced in association with Holt Park & Center for the Arts, which will provide family art & nature activities in the park and the cabins. The art show will be on display in the 1st floor gallery of the main building. The event is sponsored by a generous grant from Rosedale Federal Savings & Loan. Snacks will be provided by Pappas Perry Hall while supplies last, and local independent bookstore Snug Books will be there with youth-oriented books and gifts for sale. Participation and attendance at the Youth Art Show and its activities are FREE.
Youth Art Show Rules:
- All artworks submitted are accepted and displayed in the show.
- Artists must fill out an art tag for each piece of their artwork when they deliver it to Holt Park. Any art without an art tag will be DISQUALIFIED.
- Each artist can submit up to TWO original works of any style or medium. Any flat 2D art should be mounted on something stiff so it can be displayed on an easel.
- If you wish to offer your artwork for sale, simply indicate the price you want on the art tag. We will add a $5 service fee to that price as a donation to the Youth Art Show. You will receive a check for your sale at the end of the show.
- Submissions are divided into two groups: ages 6 thru 11 and ages 12 thru 17.
- All Youth Art Show participants will receive a small gift bag of mini art supplies.
- Prizes and certificates are awarded to the top winners in each age group.
- No prior sign-up is required this year – simply stop by the Holt Park office at 34 Elmont Avenue between 9am and 4pm from Tuesday May 27th to WEDNESDAY JUNE 4th, fill out your art tag, and drop off your artwork! No artwork will be accepted after Wednesday June 4th.
- Art should be picked up after the show on Sunday June 8th. Any art remaining after Sunday June 22nd becomes the property of Holt Park and Overlea ArtsFest.
- NOTE: Space requirements only allow us to display up to about 75 to 80 pieces of artwork. If we run out of display space, we reserve the right to cut off submissions, or to display only our 1st choice of any young artist’s 2 submissions, to give more artists the chance to be represented.
